The Saharan Atlas includes several sets from west to east: the Ksour mountains (2,236 m at the Jebel Aïssa), the Jebel Amour, the Ouled Naïl mountains, the Zibans mountains, the Aurès massif (2,328 m to the djébel Chélia), the Nemencha mountains, the Tébessa mountains and the Tunisian ridge, as well as the Hodna mountains which connect it to the Tell Atlas. It precedes the highlands of the Sahara.
